The College Residence
601 West 110th Street
 
This 12-story building provides high quality off campus housing to Barnard and Columbia University students.  Located at the Northwest corner of Broadway and 110^th Street, the facade is constructed of a unique brick and has extensive terra cotta ornamentation.  A series of 20-foot tall ornate terra cotta monuments, which can be seen and admired from great distances are located atop the building. 
 
Epstein Engineering has provided Professional Services related to a number of challenging and interesting projects at the building.  Work performed included parapet wall replacement, repair of a decorative rooftop monument being struck by lightening, roof replacement, as well as decorative stone and brick repairwork.  With respect to these projects,

Epstein Engineering developed scopes of work as well as Plans and Specifications and oversaw the performance of the work by visiting the site on a regular basis as the work was being performed. 

Epstein Engineering has performed the Local Law 11 Facade Inspections for this building for the past 15 years.
